Product Description
Formamide Chemical is a water soluble compound which is most commonly used for production of hydrogen cyanide in industries. It has chemical formula CH3NO with molecular weight of 45.04 g/mol. This chemical is a key ingredient for vitrification mixtures that are intended to be used for cryopreservation of organs & tissues. It has ability to deionize RNA hence used in gel electrophoresis as RNA stabilizer. Formamide Chemical appears as colorless oily liquid with melting point of about 2 to 3 degrees C and boiling point of 210 degrees Celsius. It is added to sol-gel solutions for preventing cracking during sintering process.
